Step 1:  Trim the aft flange of the F-1057-L and F-1057-R Mid Seat Rail Supports as shown in Figure 1.

Final-Drill and machine countersink the 3/32 dia. nutplate attach holes as shown.

Final-Drill #19 and deburr the screw attach holes.

Final-Drill and deburr the 1/8 inch dia. rivet hole in each Mid Seat Rail Support.

Final-Drill #12 as per the callout. Prime as desired.

Step 2: Rivet the F-1057-L and F-1057-R Mid Seat Rail Supports together as shown in Figure 2.

Rivet the nutplates to the underside of the flanges using a rivet squeezer. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the second pair. The two subassemblies created in this step will subsequently be referred to as Mid Seat Support Rails. These parts will not be installed at this time. Set them aside until the Landing Gear Legs have been fitted and drilled.

Step 3: Cut two WD-1021P Shims from AS#-063sheet stock as per the dimensions shown in Figure 3.

Step 4:   Final-Drill as per callout. Draw a reference line on the WD-1021-L and WD-1021-R Landing Gear Mounts using the dimensions shown in Figure 4.

Step 1:   Temporarily reinstall the F-1050-L Forward Cabin Floor Panel as per Page 28-7, Figure 1.

Draw a centerline through the existing forward cabin floor panel rivet holes so that it extends to the aft edge of the part shown in Figure 1. This line will be used as a reference to aid in drilling through the Forward Brace Mount Plate.

Temporarily install the landing gear mount using the hardware called out. Install the WD-1021P Shim into the gap between the landing gear mount and the F-1004K-L Center Section Side Plate before tightening the bolts.

Copy/transfer the rivet centerline from the forward cabin floor panel to the top surface of the forward brace mount plate so that it intersects the two existing reference lines.

Drill through the forward brace mount plate, forward cabin floor panel, and F-1049C-L Forward Fuselage Rib (not shown) at the two intersections of the centerline and reference lines and as per the callouts in Figure 1.

Step 2:  Match-Drill #30 then final drill #12 the F-1004K-L Center Section Side Plate (not shown) WD-1021P Shim (not shown) and WD-1021-L Landing Gear Mount (not shown) using four pre-punched holes in the F-1069-L Forward Side Skin as a guide as shown in Figure 2.

NOTE: At this point I am going to install the brake lines through the skin, in the tunnel and attach to the firewall. I bought a Matco Park Brake Valve (they are here in Salt Lake and everyone seems to like them.0 I plan to follow Scott Schimdt's installation which I think is very good. There is a bracket I am not using in the kit, the F-1048-F (I believe it is used as a fuel pump bracket for the carbureted engine. If you are using it it would be an easy bracket to make with a couple of bends. I will put some picture on of my construction.

Remove the landing gear mount, shim, and forward side skin, clean out the drill chips, deburr and prime as desired.

Remove the F-1050-L Forward Floor Panel and deburr the two #12 holes.

Step 1:   Match-Drill #40 the four nutplate rivet holes into the F-1049-L Forward Floor Rib as shown in Figure 1. Temporarily hold the nutplate in place on the top of the forward floor rib using AN3 bolts while the holes are drilled. Match-Drill one rivet hole and Cleco it before drilling the second.

Dimple the rivet hole in the forward floor rib for the rivets called out. Rivet the nutplate into place.

The fuse bottom is pretty much finished and I put the fuse forward part on the hydraulic cart and it think this should work well to work on it and also facilitate joining the two halves together. I am surprised on how big of a plane it is, and with the engine on it will just fit in the hangar. I am locating all the parts for the next section the fuselage sides.
