Hanger Row Aircraft and builders Links RV's and F1's
OTHER AIRCRAFT |
My return to aviation has been a resounding delight. I had
lamented about the activities of my youth and the countless lazy
afternoons prowling the old hangers at the Salt Lake Airport. Stopping
and seeing a friend and what he is working on or just looking at all the
old airplanes and imagining restoring them to there past glory. How I
wish I had bought a couple back then and salted them away, Wow a 1966
Cessna 150 now in the 20 thousands. Rory and I bought one new in 66 for
6 thousand something.
I just bought a hanger at SkyPark Airport in Bountiful Utah and plan to move the RV7 I am building to it. I was told that this airport was going to be a lot of fun and I would meet some great people. It is a beehive (by the way the State Emblem) of activities of people building many different aircraft, including a dozen or so RV'S. I thought it might be nice to start an online newsletter posting planes, projects, classifieds, activities or whatever that are going on there.

In my moving in to my new hanger and meeting some of the
people at the airport I have found some wonderful, helpful and very
friendly people, and a great assortment of some very nice experimental
airplanes either flying or being built. I want to post some pictures and
stories of the airplanes and their builders. I have been away from
airplanes for a long time and going back to the thing I have loved ever
since I was a kid is a very spiritual thing for me as I realize
that I have had a sabbatical from airplanes for a long time I have
never lost my love of them and the people who fly them. For me to be
there at this time gives me a feeling of belonging to aviation again and
it is a great feeling.
There will be a directory of the different airplane builders and their projects and anyone can contact me if they have a hanger at Sky park and I will be glad to put on some information about them.
