Have had a few days off and am ready to start on the Rudder spar.

Use a 3/8 bolt to fasten the R-405 rudder horn in place one of the Rod end bearings will work) tighten the nut to keep all the pieces from slipping.

Cut a spacer from .032 aluminum  stock to slip under the R-405PD on the other side

Align the predrilled holes in the spar, reinforcement plate and rudder horn, make sure the rudder horn is square with the spar, and final drill all the holes holding the assembly together.

Mark center line of rib to locate holes for counterweight reinforcement and 8 1/16" from front of rib and make a mark to locate position to drill holes for spar  click here for PDF enlargement

Use side grip clecos and skin strips to center the  R-803 rib on the spar and using the mark you made at 8 1/16"
