Brake Bleeding
Back to Home

We bought a Brake Filling, Bleeding tan from Aircraft Spruce. It comes with two attachments one for Cleveland Brakes, which we have and one universal one. You need to attach it at the wheel and open the bleeder valve and it fills that side brake lines up to and pours out of the reservoir. We could not get it to fill because Matco Park Brake was in closed position, after moving it the line filled and it goes thru all the lines and Brake cylinder and spills out the reservoir. We are still having problems getting all the air out and need to investigate further.

You can see the fluid coming through the lines as tank pressure pushes it from the brake fitting at the wheel. What we finally had to do was disconnect the lines at the firewall and submerge the line in a cup of brake fluid and push it through from the bottom until all the bubbles were pushed out, then close the valve at the wheel and reconnect the line to the reservoir fitting and refill the reservoir. (You need to catch the fluid from the reservoir when the line is disconnected).
