Oshkosh 2011

Enroute to Oshkosh July 2011

Our Campsite First Motor Home is Gary Diehl from Heber. He and his father flew back in their Cessna 340. Gary rented the car in the picture and hauled us around to dinner every night. The Puma trailer behind the motor home was our lodging

Our Tie Down spot. I rented an electric cart which worked out great. I could never have done all the walking required. They allow the carts to go anywhere you can walk. Note the tag on the prop for the judging contest. We ended up winning an award. 2011 Aircraft Award Winners

At first we weren't going to enter, but decided why not. I did not know we had won anything till I saw it posted online a week later, so we are very surprised but also very happy about it. Also a little Scott and Sean Humor

Sean and Scott parked by us There a lot of great photos including many airshots of their airplanes on Scott's website. Oshkosh 2011 - Schmidt Pictures

Many people camp by there airplane on the nice grass surfaces. There are great facilities for campers including toilets, and showers.

There is always a great display of War birds and it is really exciting to see them fly again

Scott taxing out for photo shoot. Note the oceans of RV's behind him. You can see airplanes for as far as you can see,. I think the numbers are that about 12,000 airplanes are on the field during the airshow.
